They call it dog breath for a reason, not that my dogs suffer from it, but a fresher breath is always welcomed.
I recently visited some awsome web sites and this recipe is from http://dogtime.com, Top Ten Natural Dog Remedies.
This is the one I personally tried. I made just one change, instead of chopping the ingredients, I put them in a blender, and added a little water because I learned on another web site (www.besthomemadedogfoods.com — I liked it on my face book wall too) ) that dogs have a short digestive track and are not assimilating vegetables unless they are eaten in a very fine form. As much as some of us dislike it, dogs are carnivores.
Here is the recipe for bad breath.
Mix shredded carrot with lime (I only had lemon juice) and 1/2 cup fresh mint.
Lola, who is always hungry, no matter how much she eats, seems satisfied. However do NOT over treat your dog, as always, less is more and moderation the mother of all wisdom.
Finally, why not try one yourself? I did:) Delicious and refreshing!
Stay cool this summe!.
