Life With B.B. Lola! Why a puppy? Can we think two thoughts at the same time?

As my friend Linda reminds me, the song goes: “Lola gets what Lola wants,” or something to that effect.

I am not sure this is such good news for us, as Lola s our new rescued puppy lab mix.

…and why did I adopt another dog? Am I crazy, people might ask themselves, and frankly, so do I. Did I need another dog? No, if I listened to my “brain” but if I listened to my “heart,” YES I did. Why? Because I am an incurrable caretaker, I need to be needed and while life is very difficult for me, if I were to focus on the difficulties I’d get depressed, and more depressed and…

So, I found the solution! I cannot hold in my conscious mind TWO thoughts at once! What does that mean? It means if I THINK of Lola, care for Lola, and my life is filled with the joy of how Lola is adjusting to the other residents in our household, I cannot possibly think of anything which makes me anxious, fearful or unhappy.

Come to think of it, I didn’t save Lola, who came to Molly’s Place Rescue in Mechanicsburg from a high-kill shelter in the South, but Lola SAVED me! and continues to do so.

This blog is dedicated to our best friends, our dogs and particularly to the future adventures of Lola.

Let’s see, does she get what she wants?
